Emily Wells is a violinist with a truly unique style that blends classical music and hip hop through the use of violins, glockenspiels, analog synthesizers, old synthesizers, drum machines, and other instruments.

She is famous for using toy instruments in her performances as well as creating all her loops live when she performs.

Emily began playing the violin at age 4 and developed a love for music at an early age.On her Myspace page she writes: "As a dirty teen I would sneak into a tiny jazz hole in the wall almost every night and watch the band play. My favorite person there was an old upright bass player with a bushy smile. The women who worked there knew I wasn't of age... They served me coffee while I fell in love with jazz and live performance."

She eventually began making and releasing recordings on cassette tapes and CDs and in 2007 released her first album Beautiful Sleepyhead and the Laughing Yaks.

In 2008 she released her second album The Symphonies: Dreams Memories & Parties on which Emily focused mainly on the instrumentals turning it into basically 10 compositions. The album received high praise from fans and critics alike. One of the highlights of the album is the song Symphony 1 In The Barrel Of A Gun.

In 2009 Emily Wells released her third album Dirty.
